A step-by-step guide for sellers on the Bloggers.tools channel marketplace: how to move a YouTube channel to a separate Brand Account and hand ownership over to us.

How to transfer the channel
You do these steps yourself, in your own Google account. Click a screenshot to see it full size.
2Create an empty channel
Go to Account → My channel → Create a channel and create a new empty channel with a name and handle such as move_channel_here.
At this step you may be asked to verify access to your Google account.
3Switch back to the channel you’re selling
Then go back to YouTube and be sure to switch again to the channel you want to transfer: click “Switch account” in the top right corner or use this link.
4Move the channel
Go back to Account and choose View advanced settings, then Move channel → Move channel to your Google Account or a Brand Account.
A list of available accounts opens. Choose the move_channel_here account you want to move the channel to.
At this step you may be asked to verify access to your Google account.
5Replace the empty channel
Since another channel (the one you just created) is already linked to this account, click “Replace” and choose “Delete channel” in the window that opens. Then confirm.
The transfer is done.
6Add us as an owner
In Account, go to Channel managers → Add or remove manager(s) → Users → Manage permissions.
Add our channel transfer email there with the Owner role.
7After 7 days, make us the Primary owner
We accept the invitation, and after 7 days (not earlier) you assign us the Primary owner role.
That’s it – your part of the channel transfer is done.
If something doesn’t work
It’s impossible to transfer the channel and keep its custom URL
If you need to keep using it, first remove it in the old account, wait 72 hours and set it up again. See instructions in this article.
There’s no list of accounts to move the channel to
If there’s no list of accounts, the reasons may be:
- The Google account you’re signed in with and the Brand Account are different. How to change the channel owner is explained in this article.
- You’re not the only one with access to the channel. In that case open Settings → Permissions in YouTube Studio and remove other users’ access to the channel.
- The channel is linked to a Brand Account but has YouTube Studio permissions set up. Turn them off before you continue.
To remove YouTube Studio roles, go to Settings → Permissions and choose to turn off YouTube Studio channel permissions.
I tried everything, but it doesn’t work
This can only happen if your YouTube channel is linked to a work or school account. The same goes for supervised accounts.
